Are Maxfli Straightfli Golf Balls Legal? According to the USGA and R&A, Maxfli Straightfli golf balls are legal to use in any casual, high-level amateur, or professional golf outings or tournaments. This means that any golfer can use Maxfli Straightfli golf balls as they conform to the equipment rules of golf.
For reference, the USGA and R&A are considered governing bodies of the golfing world. Any piece of equipment that they deem as legal should be considered conforming by all other golf groups and organizations.
How To See If Maxfli Straightfli Golf Balls Are Legal?
To figure out whether or not Maxfli Straightfli golf balls are legal, I checked the R&A club database. By simply searching for “Straightfli”, I was able to see that there are 3 different versions of the Maxfli Straightfli that are considered legal.
This database stores all the information for every legal piece of golfing equipment (aside from putters) that is USGA approved. So, if it is in this database, then it is considered legal to use. Below is a screenshot from my search. As you can see the category is filtered for “conforming balls”.
